Description
The William Penn School District Board of School Directors is seeking an exceptional educational leader to serve as its next Superintendent of Schools. The Board seeks a highly effective communicator, student-centered decision maker, and educational advocate who can build trust, inspire confidence among stakeholders, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of students, families, and the broader school community. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership, champion educational excellence, and balance educational priorities with sound organizational and financial decision-making.
Located in southeastern Delaware County, the William Penn School District serves approximately 5,000 students across eleven schools in six borough communities. The district is supported by a diverse and engaged community whose deep commitment to students, families, and public education is reflected in a long-standing tradition of advocacy, partnership, and community involvement. Requirements
Candidates must possess a Pennsylvania Superintendent Letter of Eligibility. A doctorate is preferred but not required. The Board will offer a regionally competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salary range is $230,000 to $260,000. The Board anticipates selecting its next superintendent in December 2026, with an anticipated start date based upon agreed terms.
