The Avonworth School District Board of School Directors is seeking an exceptional educational leader to serve as its next Superintendent of Schools. The Board seeks a visionary and collaborative leader who values strong relationships, innovative thinking, and academic excellence while fostering a culture where students, staff, and the community feel connected, supported, and engaged.
Located just minutes from Pittsburgh, the Avonworth School District serves approximately 2,000 students across four schools and is widely recognized for its strong tradition of academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement. Candidates must possess a Pennsylvania Superintendent Letter of Eligibility. The Board will offer a regionally competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salary range is $185,000 to $220,000. The target employment date is by January 4, 2027, and the deadline for applications is August 23, 2026.
