| General Description | The Student Success Navigator is responsible for providing recruitment and participant support for Community College of Philadelphia's Early Childhood Education (ECE) Programs, including our Learn and Earn Apprenticeship Pathway and our Child Development Associate courses. The Learn and Earn Early Childhood Education (ECE) Apprenticeship is designed as a Career Pathway option for early childhood educators to transition from a CDA to an associate degree (AA) while working in an early childhood classroom. Apprentices in this program participate in a combination of credit-bearing on- the-job learning, classroom instruction, and mentorship, and receive credit for prior learning. The Child Development Associate CDA) certification is a credential that recognizes early childhood educators. It's considered the most widely recognized credential in the field. Reporting to the Director, Apprenticeships & School-to-Work Programs in the Division of Strategic Initiatives and Community Engagement (SICE), the Student Success Navigator also works closely on a team with staff and faculty in the College's Education Department to support the College's expanded role in the ECE Apprenticeship. The Student Success Navigator supports recruitment and enrollment of new students into our ECE pathways, in addition to supporting student success from initial interest through a student's time of completion of the apprenticeship and securing of employment and/or further education and training. The ideal candidate for this position is proactive, detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, flexible, positive, and a team player who has experience working with students to promote their success. |
