Med-Family Medicine - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (26003093)
The Department of Family Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Postdoctoral Associate to join our research team within the EMBRACE Center. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful, community-engaged research while advancing your academic and professional development.
The Postdoctoral Associate will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and multidisciplinary research teams to support ongoing projects, mentor graduate-level trainees, and play a key role in advancing the EMBRACE Center's research mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and actively participate in weekly meetings with the Principal Investigator (PI)
- Participate in weekly research team meetings, contributing to project planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Attend and engage in weekly EMBRACE Center staff meetings
- Supervise and mentor up to two graduate-level research projects, providing guidance on study design, analysis, and dissemination
- Provide direct support for the EMBRACE Center's research portfolio, including:
- Assisting with study coordination and implementation
- Contributing to data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Supporting manuscript preparation, presentations, and grant development
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g., public health, family medicine, behavioral science, social science, or related discipline)
- Demonstrated experience in research design, data analysis, and academic writing
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in family medicine, primary care, or community-based research
- Prior experience mentoring or supervising student research projects
- Familiarity with health equity, population health, or implementation science
- Track record of publications or conference presentations
