Northampton Community College is a dynamic two-year institution that serves more than 34,000 students each year which includes more than 15,000 students enrolled in credit programs. In addition to the main campus in Bethlehem, Northampton has a branch campus in Tannersville, the Fowler Family Southside Center in Bethlehem and satellite sites in Northampton and Monroe counties. The College has the most diverse student body in the region and has been recognized with the region's annual diversity award. Northampton has also been recognized as an Achieving the Dream (ATD) Leader College. In addition to offering degrees and certificates in more than 100 academic and career fields, Northampton is home to nationally renowned child care centers, a fine-dining restaurant, a Center for Business and Industry that provides customized training for many area employers and research and development facilities. It is the only community college in PA with residence halls. The College is also one of the largest employers in the region with close to 1,700 full- and part-time employees. In 2013, the College was named the top large employer in the Lehigh Valley by The Morning Call based on employee feedback on the culture of the workplace. Northampton Community College is located in the Lehigh Valley, the third most populous region in the state of Pennsylvania, approximately 60 minutes from Philadelphia and 90 minutes from New York City.
