Description
The Coalition for Cooperative Housing (CHC) in Washington DC seeks to hire an individual in Washington DC to provide support to the President and Board of Directors. The AA is tasked with emailing materials to the CHC members and others and collecting responses for forwarding to the President or Treasurer. The AA maintains the core documents including the bylaws, meeting minutes, formal correspondence, and financial records. The AA also maintains the CHC Microsoft Access database, and uses it to generate electronic and forms and mail labels and updates the data base. The CHC does not maintain a physical office so the AA will need to check the Coalition's PO Box on a regular basis. The AA will also be responsible for small purchases, such as for office supplies or postage. The AA maintains and updates contact information for the CHC and its members as well as website sponsors. The AA acts as liaison with the web administrator and coordinates posting of new materials on the CHC webpage. The AA is responsible for the yearly emailing of membership dues notices, receives dues and deposits checks into the CHC checking accounts and sends out reminders of dues.
Requirements
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Willingness to learn CHC systems and processes and provide feedback on improving operations. Experience using MS Office software package, Excel, Google Mail and Google Docs. Familiarity with Eventbrite or similar reservation system for scheduling seminars and the Annual Meeting. Experience with the Wave App or a similar accounting package.
