H&K Group, Inc., is looking for an experienced Senior Heavy Civil Estimator/Project Manager to support public and private projects throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region! The Estimator plans, directs, and coordinates project activities to ensure goals of project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies Solicits and maintains positive relationships with potential and current clientsAnalyzes plans and specifications on various projects to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projectPrepares and submits a quality estimate within the time providedSolicits bids and negotiates contracts with subcontractorsPrepares "New Job Folder Set Up" informationEvaluates and prepares pricing for change ordersDirects and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule, within prescribed budget, and provides advice to solve problems
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills, Education, and Experience
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- A combination of education and experience may be considered
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or relevant field from an accredited four-year college or universityTen years of experience in Heavy Civil Constriction relevant to this regionCertified PEOSHA and/or other applicable safety certifications and training
- Regularly required to:
- Sit

- Talk or hear
- Occasionally required to:
- Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
- Reach with hands and arms
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
