Overview
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 a.m.4:00 p.m. (must be available for after-hours or weekend events as needed)
About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive Project Manager to oversee janitorial operations at a large, high-traffic event center. This position is responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring exceptional cleanliness standards, and supporting event-related cleaning needs before, during, and after each event. The Project Manager will lead a team of janitorial associates, manage client relationships, and coordinate resources to ensure smooth execution of all cleaning projects.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day janitorial operations and ensure the facility is consistently clean, safe, and event-ready.
Lead, train, and motivate janitorial team members to deliver high-quality service and maintain strong morale.
Coordinate cleaning schedules and staffing plans based on event calendars, ensuring coverage for nights, weekends, and special occasions.
Act as the main point of contact for the client, maintaining strong communication and promptly resolving service issues.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Oversee supply inventory, equipment maintenance, and procurement processes.
Track labor hours, approve timesheets, and assist with operational reporting and budgeting.
Support project planning, post-event reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and client requirements.
Other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in janitorial, custodial, or facilities management; prior experience managing large venues or event centers preferred.
Proven leadership and people management skills with a focus on operational excellence.
Strong organizational and communication abilities.
Proficiency with scheduling, reporting, and basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, email, etc.).
Ability to work a standard MondayFriday schedule with flexibility for after-hours or weekend events as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
Comfortable working in large facilities and dynamic event environments.
