Description
OverviewThe Philadelphia Cricket Club has an opening for a multi-talented Outside Services Professional for a position starting in March, 2026, to replace a team member who is moving to Trout National GC as a golf professional. We can accommodate a person who wants to work seasonally (6/7 months) in conjunction with a Winter job in a warm weather location, or a person who wishes to be in the area full-time. If the candidate prefers to further their career via off-season employment in a warm-weather location, we can help facilitate such opportunities given our relationships with numerous top-100 facilities.
This is an ideal position for a PGA professional or PGM graduate seeking to establish contacts and experience at a top-100 club with a large and active golf operation, or an outside services professional who is making a career in that arena. The successful candidate will work approximately 30-45 hours/week (depending on time of year) and will be expected to be on property as needed (special events) to get the job done. The candidate will be encouraged to play golf and/or travel with members; participate in tournaments (both individual & pro-ams); help manage and administer a large caddy program; and more. In addition to hours described above, the candidate will also work approximately 10-15 Monday outings and will be provided significant additional play for such work.
The successful candidate can be a PGA member or in the PGA Apprentice Program (the deeper in the program, the greater the consideration), or a career-oriented professional who loves being in the golf industry; will exhibit a 'Just Do It' attitude and be willing to do whatever it takes to contribute to the success of the facility; will have a caring and friendly demeanor and be willing to exceed member expectations with regard to service and commitment; will have proven interpersonal skills; and, most importantly, will be a self-motivated individual who is highly personable and is willing to do what it takes to make members and guests happy. We will consider any career-oriented individual who wishes to be part of the golf industry at a progressive and supportive employer.
The successful candidate will join a team that includes 9 other career-oriented Outside Services Professionals, supplemented by 3 PGA interns each Summer. Our model that includes set schedules (as opposed to being released a week or two ahead of time), so team members enjoy complete freedom to switch shifts to accommodate personal schedules, a key to achieving proper work-life balance.
Benefits for the position include salary of $1175/week; medical/dental benefits; access to both golf courses and all practice facilities; employee meal plan; clothing allowance; expense account; outing bonuses; tips and more. Additionally, persons with caddie experience are encouraged to caddie on their off days if they want to make additional money. Off-season opportunities to earn significant income are available via an already established program with the membership. The total compensation for this position should range between $5000 & $7500 per month, depending on the candidate. Keep in mind that the cost of living in Philadelphia is 25%-50% lower than comparable cities like New York, Boston, DC, etc.
This position is scheduled for 3 days per week from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and 3.5 days a week on the shoulder seasons - yes, you read that right! It is ideal for someone looking to have balance in their lives (a hot topic these days, but something we've been doing for decades). We have a demonstrated record of helping staff further their careers - 35 team members have moved to enhanced positions in the last 14 years. Simply put, at PCC we believe happy employees will lead to happy members.
Resumes for the position will be accepted until the position is filled.
