Do you love working outdoors and have an enthusiasm for plants? At Stoney Bank Nurseries, we're passionate about cultivating thriving plants—and great people. We’re a landscape architecture design and build firm looking for an energetic, dependable Nursery Assistant to join our team and help keep our greenhouses and grounds flourishing. 

What You’ll Do

As part of our team, you’ll get your hands dirty (literally!) supporting daily operations and caring for a wide variety of plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers. Every day brings something new:

Nurture plants and maintain their health in greenhouses and nursery grounds with fertilization and weed control
Water, monitor irrigation, and ensure optimal growing conditions
Accept deliveries; unload trucks; drive trucks to pick up plants and supplies
Keep greenhouses organized, clean, and safe, and general property cleanup
Assist with grounds maintenance, weed-whacking, pruning, planting, and care of plant materials
Help load, transport, and set up materials for projects; gather and organize plants and materials for daily jobs

Requirements

What You Bring

-A positive, professional, and friendly attitude
-Strong communication and organization skills
-A valid driver’s license with a clean record
-Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work outdoors in all kinds of weather
-Commitment to a smoke-free, alcohol-free, and drug-free workplace

Bonus Skills

-Familiarity with plant production, soils, fertilizers, or growing techniques 
-PA Pesticide Applicator Certification (or willingness to obtain)
-Degree or certification in horticulture, agriculture, or related studies
