Our Mortgage Banking Operations team is looking for an intern to join us at our Souderton, PA location for Summer 2026! This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mortgage operations, learn the end-to-end process behind home financing, and work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment. As an intern, you'll assist with key operational tasks, contribute to real projects, and develop skills that will prepare you for a successful career in financial services.
Responsibilities
Review title documents when received and make sure loan structure is accurate based upon title report.
Work with title companies to resolve any title issues. Notify processor and MLO if any questions or discrepancies.
Contact title agents for any corrected or missing documents
Follow up with customers regarding documents and/or required services not yet obtained.
Assist Processing Manager, Closing Manager, and Operations with loan task
Order verbal and written verification of employment
Obtain updated homeowners insurance
Run and monitor assigned pipeline reports
Send appraisal reports to customers
Keep Processing Manager and Closing Manager informed of incomplete files.
Notify closer on the file of items needed.
Perform any other related duties as assigned by Processing, Closing, and Operation Managers.
Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the position, including the Univest Code of Conduct
Qualifications
Bachelor's, Business, Communications or a related field or progression towards such degree
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
High degree of accuracy coupled with maximum productivity
Self-starter, energetic, creative, and resourceful
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle workplace stress and good conflict-management skills
Able to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
