Description
The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing at Greensburg is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Instructor/Assistant Professor in the non-tenure stream to begin Fall 2026.Pitt-Greensburg values candidates with a commitment to in-person undergraduate teaching, campus and community service, and experience in working with diverse groups. Successful candidates should be prepared to teach a 4/4 load. Responsibilities include both didactic and recent clinical instruction in either Behavioral Health, Community, and/or Simulation. Candidates with Medical/Surgical experience in addition to one of the above specialty areas will also be considered. Faculty serve as advisors, participate in ongoing recruitment, perform professional and community service and outreach, and contribute to ongoing program evaluation and improvement, and must be actively engaged /professional development.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Master's degree in nursing (MSN)
• Doctoral degree in nursing (DNP or PhD) is preferred, and completion is required within 5 years of hire
• A current, unencumbered RN license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
• The following clearances and background checks are required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, and PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
• Three to five years of clinical experience is required in Behavioral Health or Community nursing. Candidates with Medical/Surgical experience in addition to one of the specialty areas will also be considered.
• Simulation experience required; CHSE certification preferred
• Previous didactic and clinical teaching experience is preferred
