The Data Analyst will work in the Division of Student Affairs to support the reporting and data needs of the division and senior leaders in the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh.
The Data Analyst will perform data analysis and create static and dynamic reports and dashboards for directors, department heads, and senior leaders, including the Dean and Vice Provost. The Data Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement solutions to complex problems. The Data Analyst will prepare a variety of regular as well as ad-hoc reports and dashboards. The Data Analyst will also work on automating data extraction, data documentation, and data cleaning processes. The Data Analyst will provide data support to people within the Division of Student Affairs.

Job Summary
Evaluates business requirements and performs advanced data integration and analysis. Develops advanced analytical and reporting tools utilizing multiple sources of integrated data. Provides technical support.
Essential Functions
• Provides data support and analysis for the Division of Student Affairs. 
• Works on developing and implementing programs to design, create, and manage large and complex datasets from multiple sources. 
• Prepares a variety of regular as well as ad-hoc reports. 
• Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Assessment & Data Analytics, the Data Analyst will develop new reports and dashboards for the division.
• Updates and upgrades existing dashboards and reports. 
• Prepares static reports with both tabular and graphical presentations as well as dynamic reports. 
• The Data Analyst will meet collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement solutions to complex problems.
• Works on automating data extraction, data documentation, and data cleaning processes.

Additional details about Required Licensure/Certification: Three years of experience in database management, business intelligence, information technology, or some combination of related experience and graduate education required. The incumbent must have experience with workflow tools (e.g., Alteryx), query writing (e.g., SQL), relational databases (e.g., Access), and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau). Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m
Work Arrangement: Hybrid: Combination of On-Campus and Remote work as determined by the department.
Hiring Range: $62,000-$72,000
