SUMMARY:
The Accounting Clerk position is responsible for general accounting, account reconciliations, and accounting support for Ladder Tower in Ephrata, PA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Invoices to be entered as directed per A/P schedule.
- Invoices are to be paid accurately and timely taking all appropriate discounts available.
- Vendor statements are to be reconciled with open invoice report as statements are received and forwarded to the Controller.
- Prepare monthly closing journal entries.
- Complete balance sheet account reconciliations of low to medium complexity, including analysis of activity and identification and correction of errors
- Annual preparation of 1099 forms
- Work with Epicor system to run postings and monthly reports
- Assist with:
- Annual federal income tax book and annual property tax returns
- SOX audit preparation
- Log, post, and balance petty cash
- Process and track monthly surcharges and rebates.
- Maintain:
- Accounting department files and records
- Accounts Payable records in Epicor system
- All rebate schedules and reconcile to the general ledger
- All intercompany accounts and reconcile monthly with other REV Group companies
- Finance department key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Monthly Sales By State Report for the Tax Return
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, typing, mailing, etc.
- Initiate manual ACH and wire transfers
- Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in Accounting or related field; minimum of two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Strong and consistent attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task
- Innovative team player
- Intermediate computer skills are required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Versatile, flexible, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
- Willing to improve self / area / company (including pursing additional training, if needed)
- Capable of comprehensive listening (understanding the message(s) that is being communicated)
