The University of Pittsburgh School of Business seeks to hire an Administrative Assistant for Undergraduate Programs. The Administrative Assistant supports daily operations for undergraduate programs and the Tafel Center for Student Success. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of the Tafel Center and supports activities that enhance the academic and co-curricular experience for Pitt Business undergraduate students.
Primary responsibilities include scheduling, managing room reservations, expense report reconciliation, purchasing and event support. The Administrative Assistant is often the first point of contact for students and visitors.
The Administrative Assistant collaborates regularly with internal staff and contributes to an efficient and student-centered office environment.

Job Summary
Performs administrative and general office support work.
Essential Functions
- Schedules meetings and manages calendars in coordination with others; provides logistical support during meetings and events
- Answers phone, takes messages, and transfers callers; provides general information and appropriately answers customer inquiries from walk-ins, incoming calls, and emails.
- Prepares and edits various technical documents, including financial reports, presentation materials, and routine correspondence; uses established guidelines and proper formatting.
- Makes minor purchases, collects payments, and verifies billing information.
- Performs a variety of clerical duties, including filing paperwork, distributing mail, assisting with travel arrangements, maintaining mailing lists, and data entry.
Physical Effort
Position is generally sedentary, some walking around campus may be needed, some possible lifting.
